Two Thousand and Sixteen. What a year. It was our first year in full time business and we can't believe what this year held for us. At the end of 2015, we were nervous and anxious for what 2016 would look like but we held on to what The Lord had promised us if we stepped out in faith. We made some (what seemed like bold) goals for this year: book 6 weddings, get 1,000 likes on our Facebook page, and invest in an upgraded camera. This seemed like a mountain for the two newlyweds who moved to a new state, rebranded, and started a little photography business. Little did we know where we would be in this moment looking back at the year. We ended this year with 20 beautiful weddings under our belt (between photo & video), over 1,000 likes on our Facebook & invested in not only one camera but two cameras, 3 new lenses, and a new computer. It's been a whirlwind and we're still pinching ourselves, but all glory to Jesus who is unbelievably faithful & true to His word. Risk is fun, folks. Scary and unknown, but it's truly been a wild ride that's not even close to being over yet. And though this year was emotionally one of the hardest yet, these couples have been the biggest blessing in our lives and some of the sweetest friends. 2016 we're sad to see you go, but 2017 it's so nice to meet you.

THE BEST OF THE BEST, our favorite moments from twenty sixteen...

It all starts in the morning, sleepy & excited eyes, mood music & lots of champagne. I love these moments before the craziness begins, getting to connect with our brides & grooms, and watching their best friends squeal with giddiness as the moment sets in for each and every one...

...let's not forget the dress shots. So many pretty dresses & details...

...hands down one of the best moments of the day, first looks. My heart swells five times watching two people in love see each other for the first time on their wedding day, embrace and share their excitement...

...let's go back to those best friends we mentioned earlier, bridal parties, we love you & we photographed a lot of you this year, from tiny bridal parties to massive ones...

...vows, kisses & exits, you're a favorite of ours...

...we love a good dance party, especially ones like these that make us want to ditch our cameras and get in on the fun...

...but none of these moments would mean anything without the incredible couples who we got to celebrate & share them with. You are all beautiful humans but your stories are even more special & beautiful. We pray these photos remind you of your story, the mountains you climbed, the finish lines you crossed, the firsts and the lasts, the sweet moments of joining your stories together, for many years to come.

And to top it all off, here are some behind the scenes of David & Sarah this year, we love our couples and the people that have joined us this year. There was a lot of dancing, hiding in corners, running in long grass, holding dresses and shooting beautiful people. David & I love love love Morgan & Abby who joined our team this year and have killed it.
