LONG BLOG POST AHEAD** Couldn't help myself!!! You may remember Ryan and Maddy's engagement shoot from a few months back (think beautifully made flower crown). At the beginning of all this, we did their proposal as well in Annapolis, Maryland. Ryan & Sarah were pals during their time at Liberty University a few years ago but that was before Maddy. Getting to meet the girl he fell in love with (and fall in love with them as a couple) was such an honor, and for them to allow us to capture so many stages of life for them has been so humbling. Their wedding was out of this world: perfectly elegant and curated. Ryan and Maddy are so fun together and it made their day so sweet. We loved every second of this day-- HOW BEAUTIFUL IS EVERYTHING?! Here is what they had to say:

We met our Sophomore in college at Liberty University. I (Ryan) stopped Maddy as she was walking down the "princess steps". We ended up talking for a while and then I immediately found Maddy on Facebook. Maddy and I kept running into each other and I eventually convinced her to go out with me.

On March 11, 2017 we went to Annapolis to "celebrate" our anniversary. We went to get hot dogs and walk around before going to a late lunch. After eating hotdogs we walked along the water to the end of the docks. Once we got to the end of the docks and were by the water Ryan read Maddy a note and then got down on one knee to propose. Then we went and celebrated with our families.

We wanted our wedding day to be FUN. We wanted everyone to feel welcome, and loved, and we wanted everyone to know Jesus better because of it. We wanted it to be a party with our closest friends and family, and it definitely was! As far as the feel and style go we went for a coastal, garden, eastern shore feel! I loved the grey/ blush tones and the palate I went with really came from flowers (one of my FAVORITE parts of the day) as well as the bridesmaid dresses. I loved the palate of the dresses and they were also special because they were all different and I picked them specifically for each girl.

There were a lot of really special moments throughout the day and night, but overall we felt that our day was the most special because we felt God's presence. Everything about the day was honestly so special from being surrounded by all of our friends and family, to writing our own vows, to the gorgeous venue and flowers and details, to the amazing food and drinks, and of course the best dance party we could have imagined.

The details were honestly one of the most important things to me! I have so many favorites but some of the details that made the day so special included the calligraphy and paper that Nikki (from Shotgunning for love letters) designed specifically for us. She designed our invites, menu, mirrors, our crest, our escort cards- which were so fun in oysters and the most amazing MAP (all the heart eyes).

Our florist Mary Ellen (From steelcut flower co.) did such an AMAZING job as well. my favorite details from her were my bridal bouquet, the floral piece that surrounded us during the ceremony and the floral chandelier that she designed for us... her centerpieces and other bouquets were also gorgeous. Flowers were a huge part of my vision and she did way better than i ever could have imagined. My wedding planner Elizabeth Gopal (from East made event company) helped me with styling, she has an amazing eye and I totally trusted her with my vision and she made the day run so smooth and styled everything so perfectly!
